If you’re wondering what the blue fluid inside the cylinder is, well, we’re sorry to report that our tests have found it to be nothing more than water with blue dye.

Yes, it’s true. Much of the magic 8-ball’s power remains a mystery even after this in-depth exploration. But, at the very least, you have come a step closer to the truth of the power that is “the magic 8-ball.”

Rent a fire lookout tower for around $30 or little more. No running water though. Some have toilets. But you don’t need a tent, you’re sleeping in a tower!

This is run by the U.S. Forest Service, which maintains 54 rental towers and cabins in Oregon, 21 in Washington and numerous others elsewhere across the country.

Oops, I missed out Saturday. Didn’t know it was National Corndog Day.

“The 12th Annual Celebration is happening, so get your party applications in, your party hats on, your stomach emptied, and sense of proportions out of whack.”

What is National Corndog Day?

For those of you who may be first timers at this grand event, let us describe it as the happiest day of Basketball and meats on sticks that you’ll ever have. National Corndog Day coincides with the Saturday of the final 32 teams in NCAA basketball tournament. This Saturday is the only day all year that one can watch a quadruple-header of college basketball games from start to finish without having to change the channel. Therefore, to celebrate the excitement of the college basketball tournament, and have fun with friends, we eat Corndogs! Lots of Corndogs…

I don’t watch Dan Rather, but I was flipping through and saw Leslie Scrushy and then ol’ Richard being interviewed about his new morning program.

Leslie, whose father is a minister, insists the show is a genuine expression of the way the couple want to practice their faith regardless of criminal charges.

“Do you want me to go sit in my room? No, I’m not going to do that,” she says. “If we can work to lift people up and do positive things while I’m sitting here waiting, that’s good.”

Davy Crockett: Alamo hair

I find that Crockett’s hair doesn’t match his frontier wildness and Alamo bravery. But his hair is sweet. I guess that’s how Billy Bob Thornton got to play his role in the upcoming movie.

StreetWriter

First off, I think they have bought the A-Team’s old van.

Bottom line: this van can be driving down the street, spray painting 6 ft. tall words.

The system consists of a custom built, computer controlled industrial spray painting unit that is built into an extended body cargo van. The vehicle prints text messages onto the pavement in a manner much like a dot-matrix printer. The expanded width of StreetWriter allows for messages and simple graphics that are legible from tall buildings and low flying aircraft and is capable of rendering message that are several hundreds of feet in length.

We are a Christ Centered, Bible believing Ministry and our goal is to spread the Gospel through our unique clown performance…

In addition to our performance ability we also teach a professional level of clowning to all Christian clowns as well as secular clowns.

To bad I don’t know any “secular” clowns or I’d be telling them about this.

96-year-old crack dealer?

Friday, March 12th, 2004

A 96-year-old Kings Mountain woman has been charged with possession of crack cocaine.

Deputies with the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office arrested Julia Roberts in her Kings Mountain home Monday. She is also charged with possession of drug paraphenalia.

The police report said a pill bottle full of crack cocaine was found on Roberts and that a crack pipe was found underneath her wheelchair.

It is the first time in Roberts’ life that she is in trouble with the law.

“I never been in a shape like that before, and I cried and I cried and I cried,” said Roberts, who said she has never even seen drugs before.

Cleveland County Sheriff Raymond Hamrick said that while Monday’s arrest might be the most unusual he has ever been a part of, it was necessary.
