91 cats in one apartment

Wednesday, February 28th, 2007

Raisa Glazunova, 53, lives in a two-room apartment in Boryspil, Ukraine, with 91 cats and two dogs. Her apartment is about 40 square meters (131 sq. ft.). Glazunova dreams of opening an animal asylum some day.

Raisa says she dreams of opening an asylum one day, but I’d like to note that one dream that has already come true for Raisa is that she owns the sweetest hair style, ever.

What exactly is she doing with a baby mini highchair?

I’m not even going to mention the odor of kitty litter times 91. It’s making me vomicky already.

The best of Judge Larry Seidlin

Tuesday, February 27th, 2007

It’s hard to get enough of Judge Larry Seidlin who presided over the hearing of Anna Nicole Smith’s remains. Here’s a best of video and the full ruling. There’s so much to love in this first clip such as Judge Larry telling Anna Nicole’s mother it’s not too late to be a police officer.

Here’s a MSNBC 8 minute clip. So much sweet stuff…just play if and listen.

Judge Larry reads his final ruling…why does he need to cry?

A trailer without the trash?

Sunday, February 25th, 2007

“Is it a modular home, a recreational vehicle, or a trailer? The Glassic Soho Flat is a manufactured 400 square-foot glass-walled living space. You can select from three floor plans (one bedroom, two bedroom, or studio). Since it has no kitchen, it’s marketed as a vacation getaway, but can be outfitted with optional laundry appliances and a fireplace. A fully-furnished unit will cost you over $59,000.”

I think this will set you back about $10k more than a typical single wide. Well at least that’s what I read.

I think this will take off in Alabama. Nothing says Alabama like looking out the glass wall of your trailer and watching the sun set over a mound of red clay in your yard.

Lock Bumping

Thursday, February 22nd, 2007

Chances are you’ve already seen this. Well, 4 million have watched it on youtube. What about the thieves that lock bump a house that has rigged up the classic “shotgun fires upon you when entering the home security system”?

So what happens to the shirts and caps made for the Super Bowl losers?

Wednesday, February 14th, 2007

MIAMI, Feb. 3 — In some parts of the world, the Seattle Seahawks are the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Buffalo Bills are the last great football dynasty and Tom Brady is some frustrated quarterback from New England who can never win it all.

So say the T-shirts and the caps worn in Niger, Uganda and Sierra Leone.

The Super Bowl will end about 10 p.m. Sunday, and by 10:01 every player on the winning team — along with coaches, executives, family members and ball boys — could be outfitted in colorful T-shirts and caps proclaiming them champions.

The other set of championship gear — the 288 T-shirts and caps made for the team that did not win — will be hidden behind a locked door at Dolphin Stadium. By order of the National Football League, those items are never to appear on television or on eBay. They are never even to be seen on American soil.

They will be shipped Monday morning to a warehouse in Sewickley, Pa., near Pittsburgh, where they will become property of World Vision, a relief organization that will package the clothing in wooden boxes and send it to a developing nation, usually in Africa.

This way, the N.F.L. can help one of its charities and avoid traumatizing one of its teams.

“Where these items go, the people don’t have electricity or running water,” said Jeff Fields, a corporate relations officer for World Vision. “They wouldn’t know who won the Super Bowl. They wouldn’t even know about football.”

The gear is flown, along with school and medical supplies, into a major city. It is then driven to one of the villages where World Vision staff members work. They distribute the shirts and caps at a community center, about two per family.

Psychic Sylvia Browne Comes to Virginia

Tuesday, February 13th, 2007

Vicki Gamble wrote an Associated Content column about Sylvia Browne’s visit to the Chesapeake Conference Center last Thursday night (Feb. 8, 2007) in Virginia.

Here are some of the highlights:

Vicki writes:

When world-renowned psychic Sylvia Browne walked into the Chesapeake Conference Center last Thursday night, you could almost see the angels surrounding her. Although there has been much controversy surrounding the psychic, it didn’t stop her fans.

But for those that believe, the night was amazing. From the moment Sylvia walked out on stage and sat down, a peace filled the room. Her presentation on relationships was not only rousing, but comical as well. Although she states in her books that she gets very nervous before a crowd, she seems at ease being in front of people.

I love this quote:

She doesn’t believe in cramming ideas down people’s throats. “Take what you want, and leave the rest.

So what she’s saying isn’t very important.

Sylvia spoke about releasing negativity from your life, whether it comes from a spouse, boss, or even a friend. She was open about her relationship with her mother and ex-husband and how that negativity affected her life. She stated that the bible says you must honor your mother and father. In speaking with her spirit guide, Francine, she was told that “you can’t honor someone that is not honorable.” She also spoke about not judging others, but said you can judge evil: Hitler, Bin Laden, and even yes, Bush. After a laugh, she stated that she respects the president, but thinks that basically, anyone would be…. better. Laughter and cheers followed that statement.

I’d like to meet Francine, but I guess she’s on the other side.

And here’s the best part! Sylvia gets a pass for getting a reading wrong!

Sylvia then began calling people at random by pulling numbers that matched the bracelets the audience was wearing to come up and ask her questions. Many questions were answered about relationships, marriage, and loved ones who have already passed over. For those in attendance that might have been skeptical about Sylvia’s ability to see those that are on the other side, they probably weren’t any longer after that night. Sylvia asked the audience if there were any one in attendance that recently lost someone named Josephine. She confirmed that it was a young girl who was killed quickly in an accident and that she was showing Sylvia that it was a trauma to the head. No one knew anything, but Sylvia stated that her presence was very strong. She went ahead and moved on to the next guest at the microphone. The lady stated that her name was Josephine and that she was up there for her sister who had lost her daughter recently in a car accident. She hit her head and died instantly. Sylvia looked at her and said, “I just said that. I might not always be exactly right, but come on.” Sylvia heard the name Josephine and assumed it was that of the loved one that had passed on.

Into Centaurs? Want to be one?

Friday, February 9th, 2007

Flyer reads “If so you should join San Diego’s only herd known as ‘Majestic Centurion Justice Alliance’”

If interested, they meet each Wednesday at the Alpha Horse’s stable in La Mesa.

You can read all about centaurs here. They are basically creatures composed of part human and part horse. You may have seen a few in the Chronicles of Narnia movie.

Regardless, please click on the image above to view a larger version of the email. No doubt, you will be tempted to become a centaur. The temptation is getting too much for me to bear.
