Duggar family awaits #17

Wednesday, May 9th, 2007

You’ve met the Duggar family here on festville a few years back and again when they welcomed child #16 into the world. Jennifer Danielle, is due July 27th and will constitute the 17th child for the couple.

In case you were wondering, Joshua, their oldest child, is 19, and their youngest, Johanna Faith, is 19 months old.

Michelle Duggar said Monday in a telephone interview from her northwest Arkansas home that the whole family is excited about the arrival of the baby girl they will name Jennifer Danielle, keeping with the family tradition of giving the child a name that begins with J.

“Really, our heart is we would love to receive whatever gifts or blessings the Lord wants to give us,” she said. “But I love the baby stage and I can’t imagine life without having a toddler in the house.”

All of the children are home schooled at the family’s 7,000 square foot home in Tontitown, Arkansas.

“Here I am a mama with her 17th child on the way, and so many people think ‘Oh you’ve got it all figured out,”‘ Jim Bob said. “I am still learning. Just when I think I’ve got something figured out I try it on the next one and it doesn’t work.”

Two of the Duggar children, Janna, 17, and Jill, 15, attended Johanna’s birth at St. Mary’s hospital in Rogers in 2005. Duggar said the two girls, who both have an interest in becoming midwives or nurses, may attend Jennifer’s birth as well.

Biggee was right

Threadless continues to provide some sweet tees. This one is great reminder of Notorious B.I.G.’s hit song, “Mo Money, Mo Problems“.

It’s nice to see a t-shirt come out to celebrate the 10 year of Biggie Smalls’ passing.

So who killed Big Poppa?
On April 16, 2007 relatives of Christopher Wallace filed a new wrongful death suit against the city of Los Angeles. The suit alleges that three LAPD officers at the center of the Rampart scandal, Rafael Perez, Nino Durden, and David Mack, were responsible for Wallace’s murder. The lawsuit states that Perez admitted to the LAPD that he and David Mack “conspired to murder, and participated in the murder of Christopher Wallace.” Marion “Suge” Knight had hired all three officers as off-duty body guards for Death Row Records, and all three officers have ties to the Bloods. Rafael Perez, Nino Durden, and David Mack were all arrested in 1998 for felony crimes related to the LAPD Rampart police corruption scandal.

Meet Captain Bret

Live in the Atlanta metro area? Have computer trouble too? Well, you are in luck. Capt. Bret can help you for only $90/hour.

However, it appears that Captain Bret is running a conglomerate of business. Obviously, he’s into homeschooling due to fact that his domain name contains homeschool and advantage. He also runs Capt. Bret’s Christian Movie Show. He offers a monthly dvd made up of short movies for just $21/month. Basically they find short movies that homeschooling families or perhaps others have done and puts them on a dvd.

And to introduce the films, there is one sweet film that I think all Festvillians should watch. Anytime you get someone taking a stick and destroying a VHS tape, it’s going to be good.

Go here and scroll down the page just a tad and click on the video. (http://www.homeschooladvantage.us/gcf/MovieShow/movieshow.cfm)
