Dog Bark Park Inn B&B

Tuesday, February 24th, 2009

What is the Dog Bark Park (I know that’s hard to say 3x fast)?

“Dog Bark Park Inn is a bed & breakfast guesthouse inside the World’s Biggest Beagle. Guests enter the body of the beagle from a private 2nd story deck. Some of the dog’s decorative furnishings are carvings by Dog Bark Park chainsaw artists Dennis & Frances. Inside and up another level to the head of the dog is a loft room with additional sleeping space plus a cozy alcove in the muzzle.”

I like this quote:
“This is a magical place, whimsical yet refined.” Julie H - Twin Falls, Idaho

How did all this get started?

We are husband and wife artists working at Dog Bark Park since 1997. Dennis, a self-taught chainsaw artist, has been carving for over twenty years. Frances joined him fifteen years ago and also carves.

Our “big break” came in 1995 when our carvings were sold on QVC television. We did nothing but carve wooden dogs for 18 months (our children barely remember seeing us during those days!), made what seemed like a bundle of money, invested it all in developing and building Dog Bark Park.

Features:
- Chainsaw Gift Shop
- “Cottonwood is not far from the Lewis and Clark Trail. In fact, on the return trip in 1806 three members of the expedition may have walked under the legs of Dog Bark Park Inn on their way to the Salmon & Snake Rivers for fish!”
- Stay and Learn Packages

Double occupancy for only $92/night.

I’m not really sure what you’ll get with this.

For those outside of the Birmingham metro area, please add a “205″ in front of that number.

In full disclosure, this is the same company that appeared previously on Festville that offers clown services .

“Could Diamond Dave be the deadliest man alive? Or maybe just the deadliest man in the trailer park?”

And of course, David appears on Jerry Springer:
